Here is my book “DANCER” with the cover taken by the one and only @willyvanderperre! Forever grateful 🙏🏼❤️ . . . #repost @michaelgards Six months ago, @Ingrid Deuss invited me to her gallery to talk about a book project she was working on. #wimvanlessen joined us and, like always with these two, the minutes turned easily into hours of laughing and fun and friendship and passionate work. Together we started, what has in my limited experience, been the most rewarding type of projects in my life: telling someone’s story in a book through images and words. Writing this book for Wim developed over many interviews and meetings and never, not once, was it not an absolute pleasure. Never not once did it feel like work. My admiration for Wim's unrelenting pursuit of his goals on the stage is great. You'll see it in the pages of this beautiful book that wouldn't have been possible without the incomparable @paulboudens , #jenkevandenakkerveke, @bartleirs, @maaikenotte , the team at @hannibal_publishing , and the photographers, dancers, artists, and friends who contributed. I'm very proud of the work, grateful to be a small part of this story, and look forward to presenting it this Friday at Copyright Bookstore in Antwerp. Support an important local bookseller, @pelemanhilde , and join us at 7pm. Celebrate friends. See you there. . . . . #book #author #grateful #male #ballet #dancer #biography #photography #photographer #willyvanderperre #grateful #mystory #lifeofadancer #gay #artist #instabook #antwerp #NY #english #worldwide #dancemale #bookstagram #follow #wimvanlessen
